In a predominantly installation-based practice, Louisa Ennis-Thomas' works reflect upon social and natural frameworks. Most recently, examining the intersections between the natural and the artifice, manufactured objects meld with a simulated organic aesthetic, with the interplay of shadow and light a primary consideration. Contradictions and questions this juxtaposition imposes are central to the works’ focus.
